Along the Kenyan coast, travelers once mixed local African coffee with warming spices for a bold, uplifting drink. We honor that tradition in every cup.

This flavorful medium roast coffee is blended with real, single-origin spices — cinnamon verum (“true” cinnamon), fragrant cardamom, and ground cloves — all sourced directly from small-holder farmers in Tanzania through our partners at Burlap & Barrel.

Smooth, naturally sweet, and never bitter, this spiced specialty coffee delivers delicious notes of cinnamon, cardamom, and clove. Add warm milk for a cozy cold-weather drink, or blend with ice for a refreshing spiced frappe. Rich in antioxidants and made from ethically sourced Arabica beans, it’s a comforting daily ritual with deep cultural roots.

Fun fact: African Spice was the very first coffee we ever sold! Inspired by the traditional Kenyan drink “Kahawa Chungu”.
